Thanks to everyone that visited with us last night for the Art and Wine Stroll. All our wonderful shops and restaurants in town put on an incredible evening, organized by the chamber. By far, our biggest feedback was about our punch, the Sparkling Pear Punch. This was our "mocktail" - a little taste of something for our families to enjoy! And, as you'll see...very simple to make!
Sparkling Pear Punch
2 cups pear punch Juice of 1 lemon 1/2 cup sugar 2 liters ginger ale Sliced fresh Pear -Pour pear juice into large punch bowl -Add lemon juice -Stir in sugar -mix in ginger ale and top with fresh sliced pear.
Fresh pears came from Berry Town Produce (they are delicious all by themselves!) and should be more plentiful this Fall. Also, pear juice, by itself, is sometimes hard to find in the grocery...check the baby food aisle. And another guest last night suggested we add alcohol; now that you all have the recipe...you do you!
Let us know if you make it and modify this drink...we'd love to hear about what you create!
